Hey there! I am Casie, one of the owners at CrossFit SPT.

I started CrossFit in May of 2012 and got my CrossFit Level 1 Certificate in October of that same year. You can say it was love at first lift!

When I started CrossFit, I was a single mother to my daughter, Taylen, an 11-month-old at the time. In 2013 I got married to my husband, Jeremy, and we packed up our family and moved to the great state of Texas from Missouri. 

I am one of the lucky ones that started young, as I was only 18 when I started CrossFit. I was very out of shape and overweight when I started (I was always heavy in high school, too). CrossFit taught me to never set limits on myself, gave my body a variety of workouts, and instilled positive nutrition habits. I learned how to eat to fuel my body for the first time in my life! 

I have done a lot of competing in the CrossFit-world, both at the local and Regional level (2014 and 2015 on a team). 

As much as I love competing, coaching is what I am passionate about. From coaching those who have zero background experience in a gym to athletes wanting to make it to the next level in CrossFit, I love it all.

I feel very fortunate to do what I love every day with the group of people and coaches we have at CrossFit SPT. They are just the best!
