Who is Emily Frame?
I’m a Jesus loving wife, mom and contractor. I feel like the energizer bunny because I only have one switch and it’s “ON”.

What is your CrossFit SPT testimony? How did you find it? What was your first experience like?
I started doing Crossfit about 3 years ago, but when the gym I was going to shut down, I didn’t know where to go. I eventually followed Casie and Sheila Butler to CrossFit SPT. My first experience was great, everyone welcomed me and I knew immediately that this place was a perfect fit. Casie and Shannon have helped me create goals and they’ve kept me accountable (especially with the weekly progress pictures). I always feel comfortable coming to SPT!

What is your greatest memory at CF SPT?
My greatest memory so far is during the Open, where we had to do heavy snatches. At some point during the workout, my mind literally turned off, and I accomplished more in 16 minutes then I ever thought possible. The cheers and motivation from my friends and coaches helped me realize I could finish the workout.

What is your purpose, your “why”, when you are in the middle of a tough workout?
My purpose is to be better than I was before, even if it’s just a small change. I always try to do my best and remember that consistency is the key to success.

What is one of the biggest misconceptions of CrossFit in your opinion?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that if a woman does Crossfit, she’s going to bulk up. I’m leaner than I have ever been in my life and I lift fairly heavy weights. Crossfit is more than lifting weight though, it’s a full-body workout that keeps our minds and bodies guessing every time we come to the gym.
